# One library. Every approved dish.

The Menu Library is the source of truth that recipes, set menus, and event sheets read from.

Every approved dish lives in the Menu Library with the recipe it came from, the allergens it carries, and the cost it costs. Recipes stay linked to their event-dish counterparts so the kitchen and the client always work from the same name and description, with a manual override for the cases where the customer-facing label has to read differently.

## The problem this solves

Sales lists a dish one way, the kitchen names it another, and the kitchen pass sees a third version. By service the team is checking three different documents to confirm a single plate. The Menu Library ends that game.

## How it works

1. **Approve a dish** : Drafts move to approved with the click of a button.
2. **Link to its recipe** : Dish and recipe stay linked, with override when the customer-facing label has to differ.
3. **Use it everywhere** : Set menus, event sheets, and reports all pull from the same library.
4. **Upload set menus, auto-linked to recipes** : Drop a set menu file and Havenue extracts every dish, matches it to the recipe in your library, and brings the cost and allergens with it. No retyping.

## What you get

- **One name everywhere** : The kitchen and the client always see the same dish.
- **Manual override when you need it** : Customer-facing labels can differ from the recipe name.
- **Set menus auto-linked to recipes** : Uploaded set menus connect straight to the recipes in your library, so costs and allergens flow through automatically.
- **Fuzzy match, alias-aware** : Small wording differences don't break the link between dish and recipe.
